Observation Areas in Hurulu Eco Park

Elevated platforms give you clear sightlines over the scrublands and forest canopy. They also offer a rare chance to step out of your safari vehicle.

Hurulu Eco Park sits at a low elevation of 90 to 150 meters above sea level. This flat terrain limits long-distance visibility from the ground. The park maintains designated elevated platforms to solve this problem.

Your driver will typically stop here during your 3- to 4-hour safari. You can stretch your legs and scan the dry-zone evergreen forest for wildlife before getting back inside the jeep.

This raised platform provides sweeping views over the thick canopy and open grasslands. It is one of the few places in the reserve where guides permit you to exit the 4x4. Bring binoculars to spot distant Asian elephant herds and circling birds of prey.
